Strasbourg didn't only give me a trip down memory lane but I also came back with a nasty flu. After two weeks I finally recovered and am able to show you Ramses' new collar.
Ramses, a 5.5 year old Podenco mix is a real sweetheart and an avid digger for mice. His favourite pasttime is running through the underbrush, hunting for mice. And loosing collars and harnesses on his way.
In his 5 years he's living with us now, he lost two harnesses and now the third collar. With all necessary infos at it of course. This time, I didn't want to buy him another one, so I got out my tablets for card/tablet weaving and some cotton warp yarn and wove him a new one.
Only as comparison, Bobic (the dark one on the left side of the picture) is now 15 years old and he lives with us now for over 13 years and he still has his first harness and only the second collar because the first one broke. It is not normal for a dog to loose his stuff the whole time. Just as an aside.
The click closure is a left over from some old broken backpack and the metal tags are embossed (which you can't really see on the picture). I bought an embossing puncher alphabet and the ciphers a while back for that purpose.
The weaving is not perfect but it is nice enough for Ramses (who knows how long he will keep it anyway) and well enough for my second tablet woven band. And I enjoyed it. Might want to weave more. Small weavings are really nice. Not so unweildy like large looms.
And just for the fun of it a picture from our autumn forest:
