I seem to be stuck with cotton right now. Maybe it's a phase, maybe a transition, who knows. In any case, after a while of spinning cotton with the spindle, loving and learning it, becoming more and more relaxed with Takhli & Co, I began practising on the wheel.
My spinning wheel is not a cotton wheel in the strictest sense but as a friend once put it: the quality of spinning depends on the spinner not the tool. And so I was practising and by now I am able to watch True Blood while spinning cotton at the same time. I count that as a success ;o)
I'm spinning naturally coloured cotton I bought many years ago and I didn't know how it would turn out in the end.
What was beige before turned out a slightly greyish green (is it called sage?) and the brown became much more intensified.
Well, I'm back at the wheel if someone's asking ;o)
