Tidy neighbours bring interesting windfall.
I live in a rather tidy neighbourhood. Nice people but rather tidy. And tidy people obviously cut flowers way before they are withered, and they don't keep compost heaps. Since I don't cut flowers before they are withered (and most often not even after that) and I keep several compost heaps, I don't need all the space in our organic dust bin. (You remember? I live in Germany, the land of recycling and waste separation and where every household has separate bins for organic trash, plastic trash, paper and the waste you can't recycle. Not to mention public collection places for glass and metal container and council recycling yards where you bring all the other stuff. No landfills either.)
As I said, I have compost heaps, so I nearly never use my organic waste bin. When we moved in and my neighbours realized that they asked if they could use mine as well which is fine. Monday I wanted to put some twigs that didn't fit on the compost right now into the bin and found flowers. Nice flowers. I rummaged some more and found more flowers.
What do dyers do when tidy neighbours shower them with flower heads? Right, bundle dyeing ;o)
